These pictures were taken of a lawn in Lebanon. No pattern can be seen to indicate possible chemical damage or fertilizer mis-application. Roots are not 'damaged' in any apparent way, just stunted, and have been since sprout emergence. Landscape contractor says lawn has never been dry. Previously, the front half was old lawn, the back half was a parking area. Loam was brought in after spraying out in August.
The view below shows the same stunted lawn following a trenching line going towards the arborvitae's along the sidewalk. That is the only patten I can see and it is not consistent the entire distance.
There are no mushrooms or weeds in the affected areas. The mulch from the hydro seeding is still present in the stunted areas, but none can be found where the grass is healthy.
I've considered Fusarium, but there is no damage to roots, just stunted. I have added a picture of the plants closeup, one a healthy one, and a stunted plant.
